I am a husband and father of 2 young sons who works in the trades with no previous political interest. However, I have become increasingly concerned with the ever-changing goal posts, fear messaging and nonsensical restrictions imposed upon us in the past year. I want to help us move out of the current restrictions without any of the extra control measures proposed, such as “covid certificates”, track and trace or mass testing. My goal for my time as councillor for Chiseldon and Lawn is not just about the transition out of lockdown. I want to make the future better than the past, where our political systems serve our communities rather than individual candidates’ agendas or views. I will focus on working with the whole community to bring a sense of connection between the local body politic and the people it is supposed to serve.
