Who are you? 

I have lived in Swindon all my life and was born, and grew up in Rodbourne Cheney. I am self employed, am a student of History and have never been interested in becoming personally involved in politics before.

Why are you standing as a candidate now? 

I am standing because someone needs to speak up for those whose lives and livlihoods have been destroyed by Lockdowns. Someone needs to ask the difficult questions; to risk being vilified for questionning whether such restrictions were justified. Someone needs to ask how we ensure measures voted as emergency powers do not set a precedent for the repeated or permanent removal of our rights and freedoms

They are opening up the country now though so what's the problem?

The numbers quoted are going right down, and yet rather than looking at removing all restrictions there appears to be a push to add more. I believe the idea of any form of Health / Vaccine Passport is fundamentally wrong, and would both, usher in a two tier society, and be a serious threat to privacy, in a society where personal data is fast becoming currency. 

Are you an ‘anti-vaxxer’ then? 

I believe ANY medical intervention should be a matter of choice. I would defend anyone's right to have the Vaccine, however I would also defend anyone's right to refuse without sanction or coercion. That is, and must remain a fundamental right. I am further concerned by the level of 'pressure' being put on individuals to accept, where they are being threatened that - as well as their chance to travel and take part in leisure activities - their work prospects and ability to shop could be removed.

What can you do about it? 

We can give Swindon a voice and a chance to be heard!
